O’Donnell Golf Club Celebrates Sapphire 65th Anniversary Gala
On November 14, 2009 members, past members and their guests along with dignitaries will celebrate a piece of history at their Sapphire 65th Anniversary Gala. O’Donnell Golf Club located in downtown Palm Springs is the oldest golf course in the Coachella Valley. The festivities will begin with a morning (10:30 AM) 9-Hole celebrity scramble golf tournament, putting & chipping contests, and a BBQ lunch catered by New Leaf Catering O’Donnell’s new food service operator. The elegant evening festivities will begin at 6:30 PM with complimentary valet parking at the Belardo gate. As guests enter the golf course they will be greeted by staff serving champagne and will enjoy a leisurely stroll across the blue carpet to the clubhouse where the reception will continue until 7:30 PM followed by dinner, celebration & dancing until 11 PM. The evening will also include the preview of O’Donnell Golf Clubs 65th Anniversary Celebratory Book. Huell Howser will serve as master of ceremonies for the evening and Steve Madaio will provide the entertainment. Palm Springs Mayor Steve Pougnet will honor O’Donnell Golf Club with a proclamation from the City of Palm Springs.
